Chocolate Torte

Ingredients:

  • 180 g of butter
  • 220 g hot dark chocolate
  • 280 g of sugar
  • 90 g of ground almonds (as fine as powder)
  • 115 g of cocoa
  • 5 eggs

Optionals:

  • serve with vanilla or pistachio ice cream

 

Methods:

  • preheat oven to 400 c
  • melt butter, chocolate and sugar over low heat
  • mix the almonds and cocoa together and add to chocolate mixture
  • add the eggs one at a time to mixture
  • butter 12 individual custard cups or muffin sheet. sprinkle some extra cocoa powder in cups instead of flour to prevent batter from sticking
  • pour batter into moulds and refrigerate until ready to serve
  • place into preheated 400 C oven for 20 minutes for a chocolate lava center effect.
  • serve immediatly with vanilla or pistachio ice cream.
