Salmon Tartar

Ingredients:

  • 200 gr (7 oz) fresh salmon, diced (smoked salmon can be substituted for the fresh salmon)
  • 22 ml (1 1/2 tbsp) minced shallots
  • 10 ml ( 2 tsp) minced chives
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) rice vinegar
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) medium maple syrup (or dark for a more pronounced flavor)
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

 

Methods:

  • Mix all the ingredients together well.
  • Serve on cucumber slices, Chinese spoons or liquor glasses.  Garnish with crumbled goat cheese if desired.
