Saint-Ferdinand (Quebec), December 10, 2010 - Franco Lessard, CEO of Manoir du lac William, announced today expansion projects that will double the size of the hotel.
Followed by a contribution from the Government of Canada, the Manoir du lac William has realized a new phase which will add 21 bedrooms; 18 of superior quality and 3 deluxe suites for a total of 55. To this is added: an interior swimming pool with an exercise room, a relaxation area complimentary to the spa, added conference rooms and spa nature area. This new investment will permit the consolidation of existing jobs in addition to creating a dozen more. Located within the region that borders the Maple and Thetford areas, this expansion is a significant addition to what tourism offers in these two regions. The Manoir is working with the two Maple and Thetford tourism corporations to offer its customers a wider choice of activities throughout the year. It will therefore become a unique 4 season destination in Centre-du-Québec.
A project such as this, especially in Saint-Ferdinand, can not be fully realized without the support of the community. Mr. Franco Lessard would like to thank his loyal customers and staff, who are valuable ambassadors. He would like to acknowledge the support and professionalism of Canada Economic Development and Centre local du development de L'Érable which, throughout the process, has supported him either with available financial tools along with technical expertise. He also wished to emphasize the support of financial institutions including Development Bank of Canada, Caisses Desjardins and Tourism Association of the Centre-du-Québec who, from the beginning, believed in the project.
