Indicators of growing success!
The member establishments of the Québec Resorts network – a network whose turnover amounts to
68.5 millions CAD - have
indisputably distinguished themselves from the whole of resort establishments in the province.
The latest performance indicators analysis from the Label Marketing company, brought to light that
the annual occupancy rate of the Quebec resorts network establishments was
9 % higher than the average rate of all the resort establishments in the province. Interestingly enough,
the average price for a room in the resort network is also
twenty-three dollars more expensive. This analysis has been made possible with the collaboration of Canada Economic Development.
As a matter of fact, the 1998-1999 performance indicators analysis already underlined the outstanding performance of the Québec Resorts network.
In 2002, the network member establishment’s occupancy rate was
6 % higher and the average cost for a room was
thirty-five dollars more than that of all the resort establishments in the province. It is worth mentioning that the analysis showed an increase in the number of
business clients, from
29 % in 1999 to
36 % in 2003. It is also important to note the efforts accomplished to enlarge this type of clientele: creation of a corporate event website, online business packages and more targeted services.
Individuals remain the most dominant type of customers (
52 %), while the rate of
leisure trip groups settles at
12 %. The market penetration in the Quebec province remains stable when compared to that of the previous years with an index of
74 %. The other Canadian provinces, America, Europe and Asia share the remaining
26 % of the market. Commercialization endeavors focus on the development of an international market so as to reach a larger clientele. This diversity allowed the members of the Hôtellerie Champêtre network to counter the ups and downs of the tourism industry over the past few years.
Last but not least, the sale of
gift certificates reached an all-time height and was profitable enough to compensate the initial investment of a new network member establishment. In the course of the year 2003, the sale of gift certificates amounted to
$1,020,550 dollars; which meant an increase of
132 % compared to 2002. Needless to say that the Hôtellerie Champêtre network offers a powerful commercialization lever to its member establishments.
For over ten years, Québec Resorts has been home to inns and hotels from all over Québec – twenty-two establishments selected according to the same high standards of comfort and quality. Québec Resorts is now considered a vacationing authority in the province, which speaks volumes about the brand of excellence guests can expect all across their network.
Naturally INNviting!
