Indulge your senses: Set a course for relaxation and wellness Québec Resorts style

Indulge your senses: Set a course for relaxation and wellness Québec Resorts style

Montréal, Québec — July 4, 2005 — Québec Resorts, the leading network of country inns and resorts in the province, is pleased to announce that 19 of its 22 establishments, i.e. over 85% of the banner's members, now operate a spa onsite.  This summer, the spotlight is on the two latest additions to our family of spa centers: Manoir des Érables' Parfum d’Arômes Health Center and the Wakefield Mill Inn Spa.

The Montmagny region’s Manoir des Érables, widely recognized as one of the first establishments in Québec to put locally grown products on the map through its typically québécois cuisine, recently opened a health center as part of its 30th anniversary celebrations.  Inspired by the latest methods and trends sweeping the wellness industry in North America, the center features a wide range of enticing services. It was inaugurated June 8.

Named Parfum d’Arômes, the health centre has been entirely conceived and designed in the spirit of culinary pleasures. The Elixir, Sinful Delight, VIP, Cream of the Crop and Vintage Wine join the list of new packages offered at the manor. They include spa services and accommodations, and are the perfect complement for guests looking to combine relaxation and fine food.

The Wakefield Mill Inn is launching its brand new spa this July 20.  This spectacular spa, nestled at the base of waterfalls more than 28 feet high, is a blend of the authentic and the modern.  Housing century-old walls and a maple and mahogany wood finish, this health center is redefining the upscale spa in the nation’s capital.

The Wakefield Mill Spa is equipped with five rooms, a spacious lounge and offers a magnificent view of the MacLaren falls. It promises to awaken the senses in a very unique way, courtesy of the fresh scents of pine, cedar, various flowers and herbs, not to mention the revitalizing effects of the nearby waterfalls.  The inn invites guests to bring their swim suits, because effective July 20, the lookout on the waterfall side will include an outdoor whirlpool bath. It will be operational year round and be available to guests of the inn and the spa.

In addition to these two new spas, Québec Resorts offers a host of other health center new services. These include La Beautika at the Hôtel Royal William Québec, and their team of health and beauty specialists.  In operation since November 2004, La Beautika is the result of two rooms that have been converted and equipped for spa purposes. Massages are on the 4th floor, while beauty care is on the 3rd.  As for Le Grand Lodge Mont-Tremblant and Auberge du Lac Taureau, the former offers massages on the beach, and the latter, tepee massages.
