Le Grand Lodge Mont-Tremblant :
One of its Employees Receives Multiple Awards

Mont-Tremblant, March 27, 2009 - Le Grand Lodge Mont-Tremblant, member of Québec Resorts and Country Inns, congratulates Catherine Choquette, at our reception desk, for winning first prize in the tourism category, as a graduate from the college level with a DEC in Technical tourism and, for being awarded the 2009 Grand Prix de l'excellence de la relève en tourisme during the 5th Gala of the Grands prix de la relève touristique en restauration, tourisme et hôtellerie.

The gala was held in Laval on February 26th and was presented by the Association québécoise de la formation en restauration, tourisme et hôtellerie (AQFORTH) in partnership with the Fondation québécoise de la relève en tourisme (FQRT). Twelve winners were chosen among finalists from students studying in tourism from all three levels of education throughout the province of Québec. All profits of the evening were donated to the FQRT.

Catherine, a graduate from College Montmorency and employed at the Grand Lodge for a few years, will receive $1000 for her first prize win. As recipient of the 2009 Grand Prix of excellence award, she receives a fund of $7500 from the FQRT toward pre-approved projects and will benefit from a three year personalized development program that includes mentor support, access to a network of resources and a visibility program.

On March 11th, Laval Tourism also acknowledged Catherine's talent by rewarding her with a mention of honor during their 2009 Recognition Gala.

'We are very proud of Catherine,' Michel Garnier, General Manager of Le Grand Lodge Mont-Tremblant. 'We have watched her work diligently over the past year to prepare her application for these awards. It is clear that she adores this industry and I am sure she will have a long and fulfilling career in tourism.'
