The Québec Resorts & Country Inns network is proud to welcome a
24th member: the Auberge le Baluchon.
Located in Saint-Paulin, in the
Mauricie region, the
Auberge le Baluchon – a four-star inn - offers
90 rooms housed in four different inns, one of which is reserved for spa stays, and one cottage.
A
topnotch resort spot, the uniqueness of Auberge le Baluchon lies in the array of season-round
outdoor activities and
its exceptional natural setting – the inn stands where an old windmill used to be and is surrounded by
magnificent waterfalls, including the falls at Magnan. The inn is also sought after for its
spa offering, featuring packages with accommodations, wellness services “à la carte,” and day packages without overnight stays.
The Auberge le Baluchon enjoys a reputation for fine, award-winning cuisine, and for providing the level of comfort and quality demanded by Québec Resorts and Country Inns standards. The inn brings the number of establishments in the
"Resorts" category to seven, thus providing an even wider selection to Québec Resorts and Country Inns customers looking to tailor their getaway options to their needs.
The Auberge le Baluchon used a recent $5.5 million investment to, among other things, extend its dining room, renovate three of its inns and the gardens. The resulting atmosphere is one of a lordly estate. New developments also include the addition of a fourth inn, modernizing the spa premises, adding 12 wellness rooms, and a new conference room, La Nouvelle-France, capable of holding 250 people.
The Auberge le Baluchon, which is modeled after an estate, enjoys partnership arrangements with the Nouvelle-France microbrewery, the Écuries du Roy horse stables, the Mauricie excursion company and the Fred Pellerin troupe.
