Ducks Unlimited Canada is a non-for profit organisation which aims to protect, enhance, restore and manage important wetlands and associated uplands to preserve its wildlife inhabitants and thus maintain a sound environment for the flora and fauna as well as for humans.
It is therefore Ducks Unlimited’s excellent reputation and involvement in nature’s preservation that convinced Quebec Resorts to build such a partnership.
A Great Idea for an Autumnal Escapade !
As a representation of this partnership, several promotional activities are anticipated. First of which will occur within the Quebec Resorts establishments from September 14th until October 28th 2001, during the autumn migration. The occasion will comprise the sale of "Golden Feather" packages especially devised for the event. The packages offer the buyers the enjoyment of country holidays in Quebec in the midst of a magnificent countryside and often unfamiliar nature. In fact, most of these packages include an imaginative activity related to the autumnal migration and the features of the region in which the hotel or the country inn is situated. In addition to discovering Quebec’s countryside, through cosy country inns and hotels the network has to offer, purchasing a "Golden Feather" package is also an opportunity to make a donation to Ducks Unlimited and thus contribute to the environment. In fact, each package purchased represents a $200 donation for which you will receive a tax receipt. Also, by purchasing a package, you will be offered a magnificent reproduction of Ducks Unlimited’s donation lithography "The Ugly Duckling", made by Quebec artist, Johanne Allaire.
