Two Québec Resorts members win awards
at the Tapis rouge pour Nappes Blanches Gala
Montréal, May 22, 2009 — As part of the Tapis Rouge pour Nappes Blanches event, trade magazine Le Chef welcomed the Quebec gastronomy industry's elite to the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal this past May 19. It was during this Gala evening that the names of the winners of the Tapis Rouge pour Nappes Blanches Competition were announced, and two members of the Québec Resorts and Country Inns network were honoured with awards: Auberge La Camarine won the Nappe d'Argent (Silver Award) in the Regional Cuisine and Game category, and Auberge du Lac Saint-Pierre was awarded the Nappe de Bronze (Bronze Award) in the Country Inns and Lodges category.
Over the course of the winter season, the Competition's 20-member jury — which included Sœur Angèle, Marcel Aubut, Margie Gillis, and Stéphane Quintal, among others — selected the winners from among a list of establishments that are representative of Quebec's fine gastronomy. The nominated restaurants were grouped into 20 different categories.
In addition to revealing the winners’ names, the third edition of this unifying event allowed participants to meet industry leaders, while enjoying a magical evening.
