11 members of the Québec Resorts and Country Inns network
recognized by the Québec College of Wine Ambassadors

Montréal, Tuesday, December 8, 2009 - The Québec Resorts and Country Inns network is very proud to announce that the Québec College of Wine Ambassadors (Collège des Ambassadeurs du vin au Québec) recently recognized the wine lists of 11 of the network's members at the 2009 Cartes d'Or Competition. A guarantee of quality for customers, this distinction is the highest certification that wine lists can receive in Québec.

Cartes d'Or have been awarded to Auberge des Falaises, Auberge des Gallant, Auberge du Lac Saint-Pierre, Auberge Godefroy, Auberge La Montagne Coupée, Auberge Le Baluchon, Ripplecove Inn & Spa, Hôtel La Sapinière, Manoir des Érables, and Manoir du Lac William in recognition of their high standards and daring in the area of wine and its pairing with food.

In addition, Auberge des 21 was awarded a Grande Carte d'Or, a new distinction added in 2009 to recognize exceptional wine lists that are distinguished by the excellence of their presentation and content. Out of the hundreds of restaurateurs and hoteliers that entered the competition, only 13 were given a Grande Carte d'Or in 2009.

For the members of the Québec Resorts network, the Grande Carte d’Or and the Carte d’Or represent an important competitive advantage, since Quebecers now have a better knowledge of the world of wine.

The members of the Collège selection committee were: Pierre Cazalis, Nicole Barette Ryan, Champlain Charest, Charles-Henri de Coussergues, Daniel Farèse, Martin Gosselin, Jean-Gilles Jutras, Ghislain K-Laflamme, Gaston L’Heureux, Don-Jean Léandri, Jacques Orhon, Guy Racine, and Jean-Jacques Lapointe.
