Montréal, Québec — April 26, 2005 — This summer, experience the countryside like never before. The highly rated establishments of the Québec Resorts & Country Inns network are all about comfort, a friendly atmosphere, fine regional cuisine and an endless array of activities! New summer activities include massages under a tepee and live theatre aboard rabaska canoes. Come discover for yourself!
Auberge du Lac Taureau, famous for its striking log architecture, is breaking new ground by introducing tepee massage to Québec, a one-hour treatment administered in an authentic round Indian tepee located along the lake. The impact of the massage is said to be energizing. Also, the inn is launching a mother-daughter getaway package perfect for bonding and relaxing. It includes several spa services and excellent local cuisine.
In keeping with the “pampering” theme, Manoir des Érables, a lavish ancestral manor built in 1814 and located in Montmagny, is launching a new spa June 9. Named Parfum d'Arômes, it features chocolate, maple and sugarcane wraps. The spa's unique specialties will include theme days based on the chakras, i.e. the body's 7 energy centers.
The L'Esterel Resort and Convention Centre will have a new day and evening camp. Enjoy a round of golf or a delectable dinner while L'Esterel looks after the kids! As for the cuisine, L'Esterel can prepare the food at your table. Choose from among the classics: Caesar salad, flambéed dishes, pepper strawberries, crêpes suzettes and cherry jubilees.
And for something completely different, Auberge Le Baluchon presents a live show called Journey to the Edge of the World! It is a retelling of the history of the Mauricie region. What makes it special is that it unfolds aboard a rabaska canoe so guests can also be “in” the play. As you paddle, you unearth some magnificent scenery along the sets that line the Rivière du Loup river in Saint-Paulin.

Our 2 newest Québec Resorts members offer their fair share of special summer activities! Le Grand Lodge Mont-Tremblant's summer-flavored novelty is their lunchtime beach BBQ on the shores of Lac Ouimet. Summer is in the air at Hôtel Royal William Québec, too, thanks to their hot air balloon getaway package with champagne once you land. Guests are also invited to take advantage of the new spa services available onsite.
Renovations
